Head of Technical Operations
An engineering graduate of ISTOM, Alexandre has been involved in tropical forest management and land use planning for over 10 years. At BFConsult, he participates in the development of activities and sets up, monitors and implements projects for the private and public sectors. He supports forestry and agricultural players in their sustainable management and responsible sourcing initiatives. He is also involved in designing the digital and GIS tools developed by BFConsult.
Brigitte AUQUIER
Project Manager
With a degree in Environmental Science and Management (ULB) and Commercial Engineering (UCL), Brigitte specialises in environmental project management and the EUDR. As a sustainable development project manager in the automotive industry, she analysed supply chains and formed an international group at the EUDR. She currently manages the EcoSource platform to help European importers comply with the EUDR, and carries out EUDR diagnostics for exporters and importers.
Jonathan DI PLACIDO
Project Manager
A forestry engineer with a degree from ENGREF, Jonathan has over 20 years' experience in sustainable forest management in Africa and Europe, forest certification and support for the implementation of FLEGT VPAs. At BFConsult, he is responsible for coordinating projects linked to the sustainable management of natural resources and the legality of timber, working with private and public sector organisations.
Nicolas DUBART
Administrator / Director
Bio-engineer in Nature Water and Forests graduated from the University Faculty of Agronomic Sciences of Gembloux, Nicolas has nearly 20 years of experience in sustainable forest management in Africa and Europe. Fully managing BFConsult since 2018, he coordinates its projects, ensuring expertise and international partnerships
Arnaud DEKENS
Study Officer
With a degree in Economics from Solvay and in Environmental Management from ULB, Arnaud combines economic expertise with environmental awareness. Drawing on his experience in team management, he optimises human and material resources while integrating the issues of sustainability, biodiversity and responsible management of natural resources into operational strategies.
Oumou BAMBA
Study Officer
With a Master's degree in European Studies from Maastricht University, Oumou devoted her thesis to the implementation of the EUDR in Côte d'Ivoire. Keen to deepen her expertise through field experience and concrete projects, she is now focusing on sustainable resource governance.
Joining BFConsult, a major player in sustainable management and forestry engineering, is a logical next step in her career.
Hugo DECHAMPS
Study Officer
A forest engineer graduated from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech with a degree in forest and natural areas management, Hugo has initial professional experience in tropical forestry in Central Africa. His skills include forest inventories, GIS and field data collection.
At BFConsult, he contributes to international projects related to sustainable natural resource management, traceability and timber legality.
Denis HERMAN
Forestry Expert
Denis Herman, a bioengineer graduated from Gembloux, has more than 15 years of experience in forestry and environmental management. He works on environmental permits, forestry expertise, and project management in Europe. Denis also brings his expertise to training projects and collaborates on the production and marketing of Christmas trees.
Godfrey MARSHALL
Forest governance expert
A qualified forester from the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture & Forestry and holder of an M.Sc. in Forestry from Oxford University, Godfrey has a wealth of experience in forest management, community development and environmental and social impact assessment. He has co-managed international projects and worked with a range of organisations. Godfrey has developed expertise in the preparation of forest management plans, community development plans and environmental and social impact assessments.
Anicet JIENKOUMBE MENKOKE
Representative / Study Officer for Central Africa
Anicet Eric Jienkoumbe Menkoke is an expert in sustainable management, forestry and agricultural auditing, specialising in certification (FSC, ISO, AWS, SAN, LEGALSOURCE) and SFI performance standards. Head of Environmental Protection at HEVECAM SA for nine years and RDUE Technical Coordinator for the Halcyon Group's plantations in Cameroon, he has solid experience in mapping, HVC, impact studies, traceability and certification support, acquired in business and as a senior consultant.
Walter LÓPEZ GIRALDO
Representative / Study Officer for Latin America
Environmental engineer from El Bosque University, specialised in environmental impact assessment of projects from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, Walter has more than fifteen years of experience in environmental coordination of projects with a focus on sustainability management and reporting. He supports BF Consult's business development strategies in Colombia and Latin America.
Javier E. MEZA
Forest Governance Expert
Javier is a qualified forestry engineer from UNACIFOR, specialising in watershed management, and holds a Master’s degree in spatial planning and management from UNAH. As a Certified Forestry Technician (TFC), he has extensive experience in public and private forest management, community forestry, forest protection and spatial planning. He is also proficient in the use of geospatial technologies applied to land management.
José Guillermo FLORES RODAS
Forest Governance and Coordination
A professional with a PhD in forestry economics, José has over 30 years’ experience in the design, management and evaluation of rural development programmes in Honduras and Central America. He has led large-scale projects funded by the World Bank, the IDB, USAID and the EU, particularly in the agri-food sector, climate-resilient agriculture and support for rural communities. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and has extensive experience in managing technical teams.
Gonzalo Enrique MONROY ALVARADO
Forest Governance Expert
Gonzalo Enrique Monroy Alvarado is a forestry engineer and a graduate of UNACIFOR, specialising in the silviculture of pine ecosystems and holding a diploma in forest health in the context of climate change. With over 36 years’ professional experience in the forestry sector, he has acquired solid expertise in the sustainable management of forest resources and in the management of pine ecosystems. He most recently held the post of director of the EU-funded SALH project and has in-depth knowledge of the FLEGT VPA.
Oscar Armando MARTÍNEZ RIVAS
Forestry engineer
A forestry engineer specialising in catchment areas and an expert in the silviculture of coniferous and deciduous trees, with particular expertise in the preparation, management, monitoring, auditing and traceability of timber sourced from forest management plans that comply with sustainable yield standards in public and private forests. Oscar has extensive experience in geographic information systems, protected areas, community development and forest conservation.
Lilibeth DELCID
Forestry engineer
A forestry engineer with degrees from UNICAFOR and UNAH, with 29 years’ experience in the comprehensive verification of the legality of management processes, harvesting, industrial processing and trade in timber from hardwood forests (natural forests, plantations and agroforestry systems), as well as compliance with environmental mitigation measures and the regulations set out in the law on forests, protected areas and wildlife. An expert in the processes involved in carrying out field tests to verify legality in this sector.
Franklin ESPINOZA

Franklin is a specialist in communication for development and an audiovisual producer, with over 12 years’ experience. A graduate in industrial engineering from UTH and holder of a Master’s degree in project management from UNITEC, he is the founder and CEO of ARTFIDE. He has devised strategies, campaigns and documentaries for the FAO, IUCN, UNDP, GIZ and the EU. As Head of Communications at MiAmbiente+/UNDP, he directed the documentary ‘AVA-FLEGT Honduras’. His expertise covers forests, climate, protected areas and rural communities.

He has developed solid expertise in business development, export strategy, and international market expansion. His profile combines analytical thinking, creativity, and a strong results-oriented mindset allowing him to bridge strategy and execution within multicultural environments.

Communications Officer
A graduate of ESA Saint-Luc Liège, Yves is skilled in technical and scientific visual communication. A graduate of ESA Saint-Luc Liège, Yves designs BFConsult's communication media and implements its communication strategy. He popularises technical content through graphics, illustration and motion design, designs teaching materials and manages community management.
