Feasibility study of a training programme for lumberjacks - Proposal for the organisation of practical and continuous training courses

Client : AFC Bonn

Date : 2023

Pays : Morocco

The main aim of this intervention was to assess the feasibility of developing a forestry training course leading to a qualification in Morocco, specifically for loggers. The study was carried out in several key stages:

- International benchmarking of existing training practices in other countries.
- In-depth assessment of the situation in Morocco, including an evaluation of gaps in logging practices, skills needs and existing training infrastructures.
- Formulation of operational recommendations, including the creation of specific modules, the identification of potential partners (IRTSEF, ENFI) and the design of a two-phase curriculum: intensive initial training followed by in-service training.
