Developping a project concept for the subsequent phase of the ‘Sustainable management of cedar forests - Moroccan-German agricultural and forestry technical dialogue’ programme, aimed at strengthening the sustainable management of cedar forests in Morocco.


An in-depth analysis was carried out of the institutional and policy frameworks relating to training and capacity-building for forestry workers and engineers. This intervention was carried out in close collaboration with ANEF and GFA Consulting Group GmbH. The mission enabled sectoral strategies to be assessed, training needs to be identified and institutional capacities to be analysed. A project concept was drawn up, including a detailed intervention logic (results, activities, indicators), a structured budget, a sustainability strategy and a replicable approach for extending training nationwide.
